Agenda items include:

Public Hearing to hear citizen input on annexing and assigning a zoning classification to the property off Hwy 158 at the corner of the l-85 on-ramp. The zoning classification should be a B2 (highway business) if the property is annexed into the city limit.

Consider accepting the Sufficiency of Petition certified by the City Clerk on a noncontiguous annexation of 2 parcels of land totaling 4.91 acres of land located off of Hwy 158 by Land Seitz. LLC. Consider annexing and assigning the zoning classification.

Consider adopting the 2017 B Water Line Resolution that accepts a loan offer in the amount of $2,855,562 and the associated Capital Proiect Ordinance for the 2017 B Water Line Replacement Project.

Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign a Task Order Amendment for additional engineering services for the 2017 B Water Line Replacement Project with McGill Associates.

Consider adopting the Water and Sewer System Development Fee (SDF).

The Oxford Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 4 p.m. in the 3rd-floor Commissioners’ Board Room of City Hall.

The purpose of this meeting is to consider amending the City’s CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) and submitting DWI funding request(s) for the Spring 20’ round of available funding.

In order to observe Governor Cooper’s Order limiting the number of those gathered in a single place to ten (10), a call-in option is being provided for the public. If you have questions or concerns regarding the use of Zoom, please call 919-603-1102.

Oxford Commissioners to Meet With Parks & Recreation Master Plan Committee

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan Committee will hold a special session for the Oxford Board of Commissioners on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 3 until 5 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the Third Floor Board Room, City Hall, 300 Williamsboro Street in Oxford. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Parks & Recreation Master Plan and get feedback from the Commissioners.

Commissioners to Hear From Public on Possible Internet Sweepstakes Moratorium

The City of Oxford Board of Commissioners will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Board Room, City Hall in Oxford.

Agenda items include:

Public Hearing to receive citizen input on the request from the UDO Committee asking for consideration of placing a moratorium on any new internet sweepstakes establishments.

Consider adopting an ordinance placing a 60-day moratorium on any new internet sweepstakes establishments in the B-2 (highway business) and B-3 (general business) zoning districts.

Consider approving the 2020 Board of Commissioner Meeting dates.

Disposition of City Property – the City of Oxford has a 1989 Grumman Fire Truck that needs to be disposed of either by sale or donation. The City put out a notice to garner interest in the fire truck and received several letters of interest. The Public Safety Committee recommended donating the Fire Truck to another Fire Department that is in need.
