Warren County celebrates the ribbon-cutting of the Warren County Farmers Market Commons at 429 West Ridgeway St. in Warrenton on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. The Commons will offer a welcoming space for local farmers and producers to showcase and sell their goods, while giving residents and visitors a place to gather and connect with Warren County’s agricultural community.

Supporting local farmers also supports the local economy. When people buy directly from nearby farms, more of that spending can go to local producers and businesses. A strong local market can help farmers build customer relationships, expand sales, and sustain their operations. It also gives residents and visitors more opportunities to enjoy fresh, locally produced food and experience Warren County’s agricultural heritage.

Warren County extends its thanks to G&G Builders, Inc. and Wooten Engineering Firm for its work in support of the project; to the NC Rural Transformation Grant Fund for helping with the purchase of the land; and to the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission for providing grant funding to help make the Farmers Market Commons possible.

“Farmers are an important part of Warren County’s story and its future,” said Crystal Smith, county manager for Warren County. “The Commons gives us a place to celebrate their work, support local businesses, and bring people together. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.”
