— From Henderson Police Chief Marcus Barrow
On April 9, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers with the Henderson Police Department were at the vacant 121 Motel, located at 197 Parham Road, and located a breach in a fence and possible individuals inside one of the motel rooms.
While investigating the property, officers heard noise coming from Room 130. Officers made entry into the room and located Daniel Cash (DOB: 1987) inside.
While inside the room, the officers observed copper piping on the bed. Officers also observed a hole in the wall and suspected another individual may be inside motel. One officer followed the holes through the adjoining walls and rooms and located Kevin Correia (DOB: 1986) inside another room.
Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
Daniel Cash and Kevin Correia were each charged with the following offenses:
• First Degree Trespassing
• Felony Breaking and/or Entering
• Felony Injury to Property to Obtain Nonferrous Metal
Each suspect received a $60,000 secured bond and both were transported to the Vance County Detention Center.
