The Vance County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to meet Monday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.
The agenda lists some fairly routine reports, including a report from the Water District Board, finance director, county manager and assistant county manager.
There is a time for public comments, and Emergency Management Specialist Willie Kearney is scheduled to present a hazard mitigation plan that must be approved in the event the county seeks federal or state funding after a natural disaster. The plan is updated and approved every few years.
The finance director will present the end-of-year report, and Assistant County Manager Jeremy Jones will introduce a proclamation for Fire Prevention Week.
