Four Henderson Residents Arrested in Early Morning Drug Search

In the early morning hours of August 1, 2019, the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, State Bureau of Investigations, and the Henderson Police Department executed search warrants at the residence of 488 Merriman St., 490 Merriman St., and 640 Ransom St. in Henderson.

Over 700 dosage units of Heroin, 82 dosage units of Suboxone, $3,495 in U.S. Currency, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and 2 firearms were seized during the execution of the search warrant. It was found that one of the firearms seized was stolen (reported stolen in Alabama).

(#1) Theodous Lewis Williams, 49, of 488 Merriman St. Henderson, NC was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Trafficking Heroin, PWIMSD Heroin, Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling, 3 counts of Conspiring to Sell/Deliver Heroin, PWIMSD Schedule III, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Continuing Criminal Drug Enterprise.

His bond was set in the amount of $300,000 secured. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2019. In addition, Mr. Williams had two Probation Revocations in the amount of $500,000. Mr. Williams has been released to the custody of the Vance County Jail.

(#2) Andrew Edward Burwell, 51, of 488 Merriman St. Henderson, NC was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, 3 counts of Conspiring to Sell/Deliver Heroin, PWIMSD Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

His bond was set in the amount of $250,000 secured. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2019, and was released to the custody of the Vance County Jail.

(#3) Terrance Lamont Pulley, 40, of 640 Ransom St. Henderson, NC was arrested and charged with PWIMSD Heroin, 3 counts of Conspiring to Sell/Deliver Heroin and Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling Place for a Controlled Substance.

His bond was set in the amount of $100,000 secured. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2019, and was released to the custody of the Vance County Jail.

(#4) Sangeeta Den Nicholson, 42, of 640 Ransom St. Henderson, NC was arrested and charged with PWIMSD Heroin, 3 counts of Conspiring to Sell/Deliver Heroin and Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling Place for a Controlled Substance.

Her bond was set in the amount of $100,000 secured. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2019, and was released to the custody of the Vance County Jail.

Fourth Person Arrested in Murder of Adonius Hawkins Jr.

Late yesterday afternoon, Thursday, July 25, 2019, Tyleak Hargrove, age 27, the fourth person wanted for the murder of Adonius Hawkins Jr, was taken into custody from underneath a residence on Vance Street.

He has been turned over to the custody of the Vance County Jail without bond pending a court appearance.

Third Arrest Made in Homicide of Adonious Hawkins Jr.

At approximately 5 p.m. on July 20, 2019, Tyshon Stokes, age 20, of Warren County was taken into custody at the Vance County Magistrates Office. He is the third person arrested in the homicide of Adonious Hawkins Jr.

Stokes is being held in the Vance County Jail without bond.

Two Arrested in Murder of Adonious Hawkins Jr., Warrants for Two Others

On July 14, 2019, at approximately 8 p.m., Officers of the Henderson Police Department arrested a 15-year-old juvenile for the murder of Adonious Hawkins Jr. and obtained warrants for three others.

As of today at noon, Officers of the Henderson Police Department have also arrested Clysaveon Fields, B/M age 16 of Henderson.

Outstanding warrants remain on Tyleak Hargrove, B/M age 26 of Vance County, and Tyshon DeAndre Stokes, B/M age 20 of Warren County.

We are greatly appreciative of all the cooperation we have received from the public during this investigation. The case still remains open while we continue to search for more evidence.

HPD Update: 16-Year-Old Shooting Victim Dead, Officer ‘Alert’

Updated HPD Press Release- July 11, 2019

Officers of the Henderson Police Department, in conjunction with the State Bureau of Investigations and other area law enforcement, are aggressively seeking information and witnesses to the shooting of 16-year-old Adonious Hawkins Jr. Adonious Hawkins Jr. succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of the morning at an area hospital.

Assistance from the public is vital in solving this case. We feel that we have strong leads in this heinous act and hope to find justice for the victim and his family.

Our officer, who was shot while investigating this case, is alert and hopefully on the path to recovery. Our agency has requested the State Bureau of Investigations to investigate this incident per normal procedures. The officer’s name will not be released by the Henderson Police Department.

Alston Arrested on Multiple Drug, Firearm-Related Charges

On June 20, 2019, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Division along with the Special Response Team executed a search warrant at the residence of 618 W. Rockspring St. Henderson, NC 27536.

During the execution of the search warrant 145.7 grams of THC oil, 3.7 grams of cocaine, 4 Ecstasy pills, $1,967 in U.S. Currency, miscellaneous paraphernalia, three firearms and several rounds of ammunition were located and seized.

Lonte Demonta Alston, 40, of 618 W. Rockspring St. Henderson, N.C. was arrested and charged.

Alston was charged with PWIMSD Marijuana, PWIMSD Cocaine, Felony Possession of Schedule VI, Felony Possession of Schedule I, Felony Possession of Schedule II Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling.

His bond was set in the amount of $60,000.00 secured.

Hicks Convicted of Narcotics & Firearm Charges

United States Attorney Robert J. Higdon, Jr. announced that KACEY HICKS, 34, of Henderson, North Carolina was convicted in federal court following a 2-day trial before Chief United States District Judge Terrance W. Boyle. The jury heard evidence that HICKS kept a residence in the Flint Hill neighborhood of Henderson. After receiving a complaint regarding drug activity at that residence, law enforcement conducted an investigation which led to a search warrant of the premises, where HICKS was found hiding under a bed in close physical proximity to a firearm.

Officers seized distributable quantities of cocaine and marijuana, ammunition, two additional firearms, drug paraphernalia, and US currency during the course of their search. The jury found HICKS guilty of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana; felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition; and maintaining a dwelling for drug distribution.

HICKS faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment followed by no less than 3 years of supervised release on the drug counts, and a maximum sentence 2 of 10 years imprisonment followed by no more than 3 years of supervised release on the firearm count.

This case was brought using the Take Back North Carolina Initiative of The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. This initiative emphasizes the regional assignment of federal prosecutors to work with law enforcement and District Attorney’s Offices on a sustained basis in those communities to reduce the violent crime rate, drug trafficking, and crimes against law enforcement.

Investigation of this case was conducted by the Henderson Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF). Assistant United States Attorneys Thomas Crosby and Laura Howard handled the prosecution of this case for the government.

HPD: $800,000 Bond Set in Lynn Haven Ave Drug Arrest

Today at noon, members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducted a vehicle stop at the corner of Dabney Drive and Oxford Rd. This traffic stop yielded a quantity of marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and a firearm. These seizures lead to a search warrant of a residence at 2025 Lynn Haven Ave that yielded other firearms, and more narcotics.

Amil K. Davis, age 39 of 2025 Lynn Haven Ave, was arrested and has been charged with the following;

HPD: Forced Entry at Deer Crossing Court; Resident Injured

On Saturday the 27th of April 2019, around 10:45 p.m., four individuals forced entry to the residence of Adrian Burwell (40) and Rageane Watson (24) at 1422 Deer Crossing Court. Once inside, the suspects searched the residence. It was reported that nothing was taken from the residence.

During the apparent robbery, Rageane Watson was struck by a discharged firearm. Ms. Watson was treated and transported to an area medical facility for further treatment where her condition is listed as stable.

Our investigation into this matter is still ongoing and it should be noted this incident does not appear to be random. This is all of the information we can disclose at this time.

Pair Arguing in Arby’s Parking Lot Arrested, Vehicle Found Stolen

At approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, April 26, officers of the Henderson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Arby’s at 403 Raleigh Road following reports of a male and female arguing.

When officers arrived, they located a 2003 Ford Expedition and quickly discovered it was stolen out of Greenville, NC. They contacted the owner, Cathy Scott of Greenville, and found that her granddaughter, Laure Pollock and her boyfriend were suspected of stealing the vehicle.

Laure Pollock (age 24 of Nashville) was quickly located in the Food Lion parking lot. She was arrested and charged with (f) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and received a bond of $20,000. Her boyfriend, Michael Murphy (age 27 of Goldsboro) was later found in the same vicinity and charged with (f) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and received a bond of $20,000.
