On Wednesday, December 30, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department arrested two individuals for trafficking heroin. The individuals in this matter were charged with trafficking 840 bricks (42,000 individual dosage units). The heroin seized in this matter had a street value of more than $420,000.00.
Cory Davis, 35, of 89 Ramblewood Lane, Henderson was charged with conspiring to traffic heroin. Davis was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $200,000.00 secured bond. Davis is scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on January 11, 2016.
Tanya Gene Farrar, 44, 550 W. Andrews Avenue, Henderson was charged with one count of trafficking heroin and one count of maintaining a vehicle for keeping/selling a controlled substance. Farrar was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $5,000.00 secured bond. She also is scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on January 11, 2016.
This is believed to be one of the largest one-time seizures of heroin in Vance County/Henderson history. The investigation into this matter was handled by the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit, The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency.
