Last night at the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone, NC, the Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers were presented the productivity award from the North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association. The Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers received this award for their help in continuing to build the working relationship between the Henderson Police Department and the Vance County Sheriff’s Office. Lorraine Watkins, the Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers President, told WIZS, “It takes an entire board working together to receive an award like this. I’ve got a great board, and this is their reward for all their hard work.”
Four members of the Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers board of directors attended the North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association’s annual convention to meet fellow Crime Stoppers, generate new ideas, and offer assistance to other Crime Stopper groups across North Carolina.
The Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $2,000 dollars for information that leads to an arrest. Callers remain anonymous. Call the Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers at 252-492-1925 to leave a tip.
