On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Henderson Police Department, in partnership with the Vance County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, conducted a coordinated multi-agency enforcement initiative known as Operation Blue Skies throughout the City of Henderson and Vance County.
The primary objective of this operation was to support NC Adult Corrections with compliance checks of individuals currently under probation or post-release supervision, as well as to locate and apprehend individuals with outstanding arrest warrants related to supervision violations.
The operation resulted in multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, along with the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics and several illegal firearms.
During the operation, investigators with the Henderson Police Department obtained and executed a narcotics search warrant at 647 W. Rockspring Street. As a result of the search, investigators seized approximately:
As a result of this investigation, Lecreasha Venable, age 28, was arrested and charged with:
Venable was issued a $400,000 secured bond for the new charges, along with an additional $10,000 secured bond for a probation violation. Venable failed to post bond and was remanded to the Vance County Detention Center.
At a second location, Raymon Wright, age 27, was arrested at his residence located at 208 Gillburg Estates Court. Wright was served with an outstanding Order for Arrest for a misdemeanor probation violation and was additionally cited for:
Wright also received an additional misdemeanor probation violation for possession of a firearm. He was issued a $2,000 secured bond for the Order for Arrest and a $3,000 secured bond for the probation violation. Wright failed to post bond and was remanded to the Vance County Detention Center.
At a third location, Kyron Jordan, age 32, was arrested at his residence located at 1922 Oxford Road. Jordan was charged with a misdemeanor probation violation for possession of a firearm. He was issued a $10,000 secured bond, which he posted, and was subsequently released.
Operation Blue Skies reflects a continued commitment by local and state agencies to ensure compliance among individuals under court-ordered supervision and to enhance public safety by proactively addressing criminal activity within the community.
