At its July meeting, the Henderson City Council voted unanimously to create an advisory board upon a recommendation from interim City Manager Kendrick Vann.
Vann stated that other cities and towns have formed advisory boards to provide direction on how to allocate funds from the multi-billion dollar opioid settlement.
Prospective advisory board members include individuals with professional backgrounds in drug addiction/treatment, health care and mental health and public health fields.
