Community partners in the form of the local YMCA and Chamber of Commerce seek to help with childcare for back to school.
The note below emailed out to Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce members from Michele Burgess contains a survey you can fill out as requested by Paul Ross and the Y for back to school childcare.
Community Resources Are Needed For Parents
Our local schools have made recent announcements of how they will operate for the first 9 weeks as they continue to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. We anticipate that some of your employees and staff members with school aged children will be looking for alternative child care on the days their children are not physically in school and also for after-school care. The Chamber has already been receiving questions from local HR Managers about available resources they can share with their employees. Paul Ross, CEO and President of the Henderson Family YMCA, has asked the Chamber to send this important survey out to our membership to gauge local needs/interest. Please share this survey link below with your employees so that the YMCA leadership can begin to make plans to meet our community needs.
We hope this email finds you well. Below is a link to a survey for parents of school age children. This short survey consist of 9 questions asking what services you may need as we partner with schools and parents for the 20/21 school year. The Henderson Family YMCA is here to serve our community and we are excited to hear from you so we can better understand your needs. At the Y we want to build an effective program which benefits schools, students and parents during these ever changing times. We will use the survey data to finalize the YMCA Back to School Academy and provide program details soon.
Thank you, Paul Ross, Chief Executive Officer, Henderson Family YMCA
