Henderson-Vance Recreation and Parks Department Tri-City Seahawks Football Meeting

Henderson-Vance Recreation and Parks will be having  a Zoom interest meeting to discuss the possibility of playing spring football. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. We will discuss safety precautions, practice and game scheduling. Parents of returning players or potential players and anyone that is interested in coaching/volunteering is encouraged to attend the meeting. If you have questions/concerns you would like addressed during the meeting, please email Darius Pitt (dpitt@ci.henderson.nc.us ) by 3:00pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Tri-City Seahawks to Hold Games, First Homecoming Event

Bring your friends and family out to enjoy some great football games hosted by your Tri-City Seahawks on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Vance County Middle School, 293 Warrenton Road in Henderson.

Game times: 8U – 4 p.m.; 10U – 6 p.m.; 12U – 8 p.m.

Cost is $5 for adults; $2 for school-age children. Kids under age 6 are free.

There will be a tribute to breast cancer survivors, a halftime performance by the Vance County High School Showtime Marching Machine, vendors, concessions and Tri-City Seahawks merchandise available for purchase.

T-shirts in sizes small – 3XL will be available for $10.

Local Youth Ages 4-12 Needed for Competitive Football League

The 2019 East Wake Football League is a competitive football league for youth of Vance, Warren, Franklin and Granville counties.

Participants will learn the skills and rules of football. Team tryouts will be conducted and participants will be placed on teams by coaches. In order to be on a team, participating youth must attend tryouts.

Schedules will be developed by the East Wake Football League and games will be played on Saturday afternoons. Participants will travel to local communities to participate in games.

Registration will be held June 3 – August 4, 2019, at the Aycock Recreation Center, 307 Carey Chapel Rd., Henderson.

Cost is $40 for both in and out-of-county participants. Participants may be eligible for the fee waiver program.

Age levels include:

Flag Football – Ages 4 – 6

Mini Mites – Ages 6 – 8

Mighty Mites – Ages 9 – 10

Pee Wee – Ages 11 – 12

Age will be determined as of August 1, 2019.
