Town of Warrenton Follows County – Curfew Begins Thurs., April 9

The Town of Warrenton has declared a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning Thursday, April 9, 2020, effective through the dates of Governor Cooper’s Stay At Home Executive Order. The Warrenton Police Department will be enforcing this curfew.

During the hours of the curfew, travel is allowed for the following reasons:

1. Medical
2. Grocery Store
3. Traveling to/from an essential job

We understand that this is a small list of reasons for traveling but, we implore you to abide by this order for the protection of everyone. Our agency will be stopping vehicles and pedestrians during this time of curfew.

The Warrenton Police Department wants everyone to be safe, and we will get through this as a community if everyone does their part by adhering to the laws. Also, be advised that during this time, the WPD is and will continue to enforce all traffic laws.

Spring Fest, 5K Run to Offer Something for Everyone in Downtown Warrenton

The Warrenton Revitalization Committee presents the annual Spring Fest to be held in the Historic Courthouse Square in downtown Warrenton on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Crafts, artisans, exhibits, food, music, fresh local vegetables and more will be available to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Live entertainment will be provided by T-N-T and the Backyard Bluegrass Band.

The 7th Annual Warrenton 5K will also be held on April 27 in downtown Warrenton. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in front of the Warren County Courthouse at 109 S. Main St., Warrenton, with the 5K beginning at 9 a.m.

The Town of Warrenton is interested in your feedback on bicycle and pedestrian plans. A grant from NC DOT is helping the Town develop plans and citizen feedback is critical.

Survey forms are available online, at Town Hall and also at the County Health Department and Library. Surveys can be turned in at any of these locations.

Upon completing a survey, you will automatically be registered for a drawing that includes a $50 cash prize!

Town of Warrenton to Hold Family Movie Night in Historic Courthouse Square

The Town of Warrenton will hold a family movie night on Saturday, September 1, 2018, starting at 8:15 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse Square, 109 S. Main St., Warrenton. Disney’s “A Wrinkle In Time” (rated PG) will be the featured presentation.

Admission is free; popcorn and refreshments will be for sale. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of family fun.

Brief Interruption of Service for Warrenton Water Customers

Attention Warrenton water customers…

Please be advised that contractor G2 Utilities will begin changing out all water meters beginning Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Meter change-outs will be performed between 8 a.m and 5 p.m. Interruption of your water service should be 15 minutes or less for the process. If you are at home during the process, the utility technician will make every effort to advise you before he changes out the meter at your residence.

A door hanger stating that the work has been completed will be left at your residence once the change-out is complete at your house.
