The City of Oxford Board of Commissioners will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Board Room, City Hall.

Agenda items include:

Public Hearing to receive citizen input on a Contiguous Annexation Ordinance for 3 +/– of land adjacent to the Hardees property located on Industry Drive.

Consider adopting a Contiguous Annexation Ordinance for 3 +/– acres of land adjacent to the Hardees property located on Industry Drive.

Consider adopting amendments to the 2019 Municipal Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.

Consider adopting a resolution to appoint Police Chief Alvin Coley as the designated official to make recommendations to the NC Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission on ABC permit applications.

Oxford’s Personnel Committee to Discuss Health Insurance Renewal

The Personnel Committee for the Oxford Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in the 1st Floor Training Room of City Hall, 300 Williamsboro Street in Oxford.

Oxford Board of Commissioners to Hold Goal-Setting Retreat

Agenda items include:

Consider accepting the annual financial report for FY 20172018.

Consider the issue regarding insurance benefits for retired elected officials.

Consider adopting a resolution requesting the City Clerk to investigate the sufficiency of the annexation petition for the parcel of land adjacent to the Hardees property located on Industry Drive.

Consider calling for a public hearing at the March 12, 2019, Regular Board meeting regarding the amending of the B-1 zoning ordinance.

Consider calling for a public hearing for the March regular Board meeting for a rezoning request from Eddie Caudle to rezone 8 acres of land from R-A to B-2.

Consider adopting a demolition ordinance for the property located at 311 McClanahan Street.

Consider adopting a demolition ordinance for property located at 100 King Street.

Consider approving a subdivision plat which includes subdividing a 3.00-acre tract of land from an existing 10-acre tract. The remaining acreage will create a 7.11-acre tract of land. The zoning for the property is located off of Tobacco Rd.

Award the bid for the WWTP West Sludge Lagoon Rehabilitation.

Re-appoint James Crawford to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Consider appointing Jacalyn Thomas to the Historic Preservation Commission.

Quorum of Oxford Commissioners to Attend KLRW Advisory Board Meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE OF POSSIBLE QUORUM

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the City of Oxford Board of Commissioners may be present for a joint meeting on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Henderson City Hall – Council Chambers at 134 Rose Avenue, Henderson, NC of the Kerr Lake Regional Water Partners.

The KLRW Advisory Board will review the system upgrade project; including financial planning, a possible revision of the partner’s rate structure and allow questions from the partners. No action will be taken during this meeting. The public is welcome to observe.

Oxford’s Finance and Public Works Committees to Meet in Joint Session

The Finance and Personnel Committees for the City of Oxford will meet in a joint session on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Training Room, 1st Floor, City Hall, 300 Williamsboro Street. The purpose of the meeting is to further discuss the Vacation Buy-Back and the Longevity Pay Plan. All those interested are encouraged to attend.

The Public Works, Water, & Infrastructure Committee for the Oxford Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 2 p.m. The meeting will be held in the First Floor Training Room, City Hall, 300 Williamsboro Street.
