On Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence located off Bob Daniel Rd, Oxford, NC and forced entry of a residence and a barn that caused criminal property damage. Several guns, ammunition, one digital camera, as well both power and hand tools were criminally removed from the property.

On Thursday, February 15th, 2018 an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence located off Lucy Averette Rd, Oxford, NC and forced entry of a residence, which caused criminal damage. One 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun and one 42 inch television was criminally removed from the property.

Granville Crime Stoppers

United We Sing, Friday, Oct 20

Granville Commissioner David Smith has passed along information regarding a benefit for Granville County Crime Stoppers.

“United We Sing” will take place Friday, October 20th at 7 p.m.

Music will be by Rev. Frank Sossamon, Closer Home and Backyard Bluegrass Boys.

The location is Providence Baptist Church in Oxford.

Donations will benefit Granville Couty Crime Stoppers.

Breaking and Entering, Laceny and Vandalism reported in Granville County

Sometime between Thursday, June 18th, 2017 late evening and Friday, June 19th, 2017 early morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Gantt Farm Road, Stem, NC and criminally damaged mailboxes.

Sometime between Saturday, July 1st, 2017 noon and Sunday, July 9th, 2017 late evening hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off George Sherman Road, Rougemont, NC and criminally forced entry into a shed and removed one 2600 PSI pressure washer, one DeWalt table chop saw and one Stihl MS290 chainsaw.

On Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 between early morning and late evening hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Tar Hill Road, Oxford, NC and criminally removed from a trailer- one 16 inch Stihl HT 101 pole saw, one Stihl BT 130 Auger with 6 inch bit, one Stihl 170 with a 16 inch bar chainsaw, one Stihl HS81 T 24 inch hedge trimmer and one Stihl FS110R straight shaft weed eater.

Sometime between Saturday, July 15th, 2017 and Monday, July 31st, 2017 during mid-morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Graham Hobgood Road, Oxford, NC and criminally removed one ES 25 NAPA booster jumper, one back pack Solo sprayer, and one Lowes push mower from a storage shed.

Sometime between Friday, April 14th and Saturday, August 12th, 2017 during mid-afternoon hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Hayes Road, Creedmoor, NC and forced entry into a shed and criminally removed a 2008 Honda CR dirt bike red in color.

Sometime between Sunday, August 13th late evening and Monday, August 14th, 2017 mid-morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon inter-state 85 northbound at mile marker 185 and vandalized a disabled 4 door 2000 Honda Accord by breaking the windshield and criminally removed a radio from the vehicle.

Multiple Burglaries Reported in Oxford

Sometime between Wednesday, May 17th, late evening and Friday, May 20th, 2017 early morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Highway 15 South, Oxford, NC and criminally removed 85 CertainTeed landmark algae resistant shingles, which were bundled and one wild game trail camera from a construction job site.

Sometime between Thursday, May 18th, late evening and Friday, May 19th, 2017 early afternoon hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Goshen Road, Oxford, NC, and criminally removed a “2005” Suzuki LT-A500 4-wheeler, black in color bearing serial number 5saam43a057104297 from underneath a shed at a residence.

Granville County Crime Stoppers May Report

SUBJECT:             BURGLARY/LARCENY/VANDALISM

 

On Thursday, March 30th, 2017 during late evening hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon the driveway of private property off Thad Carey Road, Stem, NC and criminally removed one Glock 19 pistol magazine, which was loaded with ammunition from the center console of a private owned vehicle.

On Sunday, April 9th, 2017 during early morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Rivers Edge Road, Oxford, NC and criminally forced entry of a shop, which caused property damage to door and jam and unlawfully removed three (No. 10) 100 ft. extension cords (one yellow and two orange in color), and two (No. 12) 500 ft. rolls of copper wire.

On Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 during late evening hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence located off Appaloosa Trail, Franklinton, NC, which was damaged by fire on March 11th, 2017 and criminally removed items from the property.

Sometime between December 2016 and Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence off Jack Clement Road, Oxford, NC and criminally removed an air conditioner unit.

Sometime between Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 late evening hours and Thursday, April 27th, 2017 early morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of Carroll’s Outdoor Power Equipment Sales and Service located off Roxboro Road, Oxford, NC and criminally cut a lock, which was on a “2016” Master Tow 6X8 ft. utility trailer, that is black in color with a wooden floor and lift gate on the back and removed trailer from the property.  The trailer has a registration number displayed on the left fender and silver wheels.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 during mid-morning hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence off West Tom Parham Road and forced entry, which caused criminal property damage and removed a dresser drawer with numerous pieces of jewelry.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 between mid-morning and late evening hours an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property of a residence off Indian Trail ,Oxford, NC and forced entry, which caused criminal property damage and unlawfully removed one 12 gauge Benelli Nova pump action shotgun and one 12 gauge Browning Lite automatic shotgun.

Granville Crime Stoppers Looking for Help with Incidents in Oxford

SUBJECT: Breaking and Entering/Burglary/Larceny/Vandalism

On Friday, December 30th, 2016 between the hours of 1:30pm and 3:40pm an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property located off Breezing Lane, Oxford, NC and forced entry of a residence, which caused criminal property damage.

On Friday, December 30th, 2016 at approximately 3:00pm an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Clear Springs Road, Oxford, NC and forced entry of a residence, which caused criminal property damage and unlawfully removed one 18” Poulan chainsaw, one Poulan gas powered hedge trimmer, one Stanley 12-14 volt drill and impact driver set and one DeWalt tool bag with an 18 volt drill impact driver set.

On Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at approximately 2:00 pm an unknown person or persons unlawfully went upon private property off Squire Lane, Oxford, NC and forced entry of a residence, which caused criminal damage to property and unlawfully removed one old model .22 caliber revolver handgun, one 12 gauge single barrel shotgun, one .32 caliber handgun, one bone collector cross bow, 600 rounds of .22 caliber bullets, 500 .32 caliber bullets, one air wrench in a case and one whole frozen ribeye loin.

Sometime between Saturday, January 14, 2017 during late evening hours and Sunday, January 15th, 2017 mid-morning hours an unknown person or persons went upon several private properties off Hight Road located in Oxford, NC and caused criminal property damage in plowing yards with a vehicle.
