Sixth Annual Military Order of the Purple Heart Bike Run Set for Sept.

The 6th Annual Military Order of the Purple Heart Bike Run will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Sponsored by the American Legion, Post 60, this ride will benefit those that fought for freedom and continue to fight for wounded and unwounded Warriors.

Registration will be the morning of the ride from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Kickstands up and the ride begins at 10:30 a.m.

A meal will be served upon return to the American Legion. All donations will be used in support of Warriors.

American Legion to Hold Spaghetti Benefit Dinner for Wounded HPD Officer

The American Legion Post 60 will hold a Spaghetti Benefit Dinner on Friday, August 16, 2019, from 5 until 7 p.m.

Eat-in or take out available at the corner of Garnett and Spring Street in Henderson.

All proceeds benefit the Henderson police officer (and his family) recently wounded in the line of duty.

Henderson American Legion Post 60 to Hold Chicken Plate Sale

The Henderson American Legion Post 60 will hold a Chicken Plate Sale on Friday, April 5, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for a plate of 1/2 chicken, green beans, red-skinned potatoes, dessert and bread. Pick up and go or stay and eat. Beverage included for eat in only.

Location: Corner of E Spring and S Garnett Streets in Henderson, NC.

Delivery available for six or more plates (call ahead).
