Vance County Sheriff: Man Extradited From TX To Face Statutory Rape, Kidnapping Charges

On August 14, 2026, Jose Manuel Martinez-Martinez was taken into custody and extradited from Texas to North Carolina by members of the Vance County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Martinez-Martinez was wanted in Vance County on the following charges:

Following the extradition process, Martinez-Martinez was transported to the Vance County Detention Center and processed on the outstanding charges. He was held without bond on the two counts (2) of Felony Statutory Rape of a Child under 15, two counts (2) of First Degree Kidnapping and a $5,000.00 bond on Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

The Vance County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), Red Oak Police Department and Ellis County Sheriff’s Office in Texas and all personnel who assisted with the safe and secure extradition of Martinez-Martinez.
