During a regular meeting on November 5, 2018, the Granville County Board of Commissioners took the following action:

• Approved the proclamation request from the United States World War One Centennial Commission to call on all Americans across the nation to pause at 11 a.m. on November 11, 2018, and recognize, commemorate, and give thanks for the service and sacrifice of those who served in World War I to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the fighting in World War I at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918 – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
