Power Lifting Fund Raiser to Benefit Veterans

A fundraiser to benefit veterans is planned for April 9th. The Brick Power Team will sponsor a bench press competition at the Henderson Family YMCA on Ruin Creek Rd. All proceeds will go to the American Legion of Henderson. Entry fee for adults is $40; Teens, $30; Non-lifters, $5. Those who are 12 & under enter free. Henderson American Legion Post 60 to Hold Chicken Plate Sale

The Henderson American Legion Post 60 will hold a Chicken Plate Sale on Friday, April 3, 2020, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for a plate of 1/2 chicken, green beans, red-skinned potatoes, dessert and bread. Pick up and go or stay and eat. Beverage included for eat-in only.

Location: Corner of E. Spring Street and S. Garnett Street in Henderson, NC.

The Henderson American Legion Post 60 will have its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Henderson Collegiate High School, 1071 Old Epsom Road, Henderson starting at 10 a.m.

The public and all veterans are invited.

The Henderson American Legion Post 60 will also have a Chicken Plate Fundraiser on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the corner of Garnett and Spring Street in Henderson. Tickets are available for $8.

The meal will be take-out or dine-in and will include chicken, green beans, potatoes, roll and dessert. Drinks will be included for dine-in only.
