On November 12, 2020, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and Domestic Violence Unit responded to 888 Fuller Road in Louisburg in reference to a domestic with weapons call.
As a result of the incident, Nicholas Adam Hughes, a Franklin County resident, was arrested and charged with: one (1) count of Felony Discharge Firearm within Enclosure to Incite Fear, one (1) count of Felony Second Degree Kidnapping, one (1) count of Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one (1) count of Misdemeanor Communicating Threats, one (1) count of Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property, and one (1) count of Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer.
Hughes is currently in the Franklin County Detention Center under an $80,000 secured bond.

On August 25, 2020, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group arrested Ohio residents, Sivad Boykin, Cadiz Harper, and Jerron Smith, on multiple drug charges.
The arrest came after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit determined Boykin, Harper and Smith were involved in trafficking Methamphetamines in Franklin County. The investigation led detectives to the Days Inn in Louisburg, NC where a search warrant was executed on a room that was rented by Boykin.
The arrests and search warrant execution resulted in the seizure of approximately 484 grams of Methamphetamines and US Currency. The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $135,000.
Sheriff Kent Winstead stated, “These arrests and the seizure of this quantity of Methamphetamines, certainly make our communities safer. This investigation developed as a result of the partnerships our Special Operations Group has with other local, state and federal partners who are working together to remove these dangerous and addictive drugs from our communities.”
Sivad Brown was placed in the Franklin County Detention Facility under a $600,000 secured bond.

On August 22, 2018, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol, Investigation Units, and Bunn Police Department arrested Michael Dustin Ellis and Colton Tyler Bullock both Vance County residents. Michael Dustin Ellis and Colton Tyler Bullock were charged with the following: two (2) counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, one (1) count of Larceny After Breaking and Entering and one (1) count of Attempted Larceny. The alleged incident stemmed from a Breaking and Entering and Larceny at Rowland Chapel Christian Church, 2293 Epsom Rocky Ford Road Henderson, NC.
Michael Dustin Ellis was also served with one outstanding (1) felony Larceny warrant and one (1) misdemeanor Larceny warrant.
Colton Tyler Bullock was also served with one (1) felony warrant for Identity Theft and two (2) Orders for Arrest to Include Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Michael Dustin Ellis is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center under a
$102,000.00 secured bond.
Colton Tyler Bullock is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center under a $165,000.00 secured bond.
