‘Festival of Trees’ Wraps Up With Silent Auction on Sat.

The Vance County Regional Farmers Market is hosting The Festival of Trees fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Vance County now through Friday.

Don’t miss the chance to wander through a winter wonderland of fully and creatively decorated Christmas trees by local businesses and individuals, enjoy performances of seasonal music by local artists and even meet Santa!

The event runs through December 3-6 at the VCRFM from 2 – 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per adult (children under 12 get in free). All proceeds go to support the Boys & Girls Club of Vance County.

Really want a Christmas tree this year, but don’t have time to decorate one? No worries. Many of the trees on display at The Festival of Trees are for sale through a silent auction bid process. Bidding ends Saturday, December 7 at 11 a.m.

The VCRFM is located at 210 Southpark Drive in Henderson.

H-V Chamber to Participate in Festival of Trees; Business Ornaments Needed

Message from the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce:

The Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce will be participating in the Festival of Trees, which will be held at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market December 3 – 7, 2019.  All proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Vance County.

The Chamber’s Christmas Tree theme is “Our Members Sparkle.” We want to load our tree with ornaments that represent all of our members, so we need your help.

We want Christmas ornaments that represent your business. The ornaments can be professional ones or you can be creative and make one (we all love homemade ornaments). The ornaments should identify your company name or the product(s) that you sell.

Ornaments are needed by Friday, November 22 and can be dropped off at the Chamber office or picked up.

BE CREATIVE! This is a great marketing opportunity to make your business sparkle! Don’t forget to attend the Festival of Trees for a festive time.

The first annual Boys and Girls Club Festival of Trees is coming to town! It’s a community-wide celebration of the holiday season, while also an opportunity to contribute to the youth of our area through the Boys and Girls Club of Vance County.

Community donors and volunteers will create a winter wonderland of decorated trees for the delight of our citizens of all ages. Those wishing to enter a tree are asked to submit a Tree Entry Form (click here) by November 8.

Trees will be on display December 3 – 6, 2019, from 2 – 7 p.m., at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market. Admission is $5 (children are admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult). Come out and experience the magic of the holidays, including the beautiful trees, entertainment, refreshments and maybe even a few surprise visitors!

There will be a silent auction for donated trees on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

All proceeds from this event go to the Boys and Girls Club of Vance County!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina has been serving youth in Vance County since 2007. Its mission is “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” The organization accomplishes this mission by providing after school and summer activities for boys and girls between the ages of five through eighteen.
