Delays/Closings Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025

Granville County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students and staff on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Vance County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students and staff on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Warren County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Delays/Closings For Tuesday, Dec. 9

Vance County Courthouse: Courthouse and clerk of court office closed Tuesday, Dec. 9.  (This change was made at 8:19 a.m. The County changed this just before the post was updated. This is different than the earlier post.)

Vance County Board of Elections: Closed Tuesday. Candidate filing will not take place Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, and will resume once county operations reopen.

Vance County government offices: Closed on Dec. 9, 2025.  (This change was made at 8:16 a.m. The County changed this just before the post was updated. This is different than the earlier post.)

Franklin County government offices: Closed Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Essential personnel should report at noon or as department leadership advises.  (This is updated information new on Tuesday morning.)

Maria Parham Health: Clinics and outpatient services will operate on a delayed schedule Tuesday, opening at 10 a.m.

Vance-Granville Community College: Delayed start. Opening at 12 noon on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025.  Classes that are typically in session at 12 noon will meet for the remaining portion of that class, and dual-enrollment students should check Moodle or email for remote learning assignments. Tuesday evening classes are expected to meet as normally scheduled.

Vance County Schools: Closed for all students on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. All evening activities for Tuesday are also canceled. Staff will operate on an optional remote workday. Additional information will be provided by email to staff.

Granville County Board of Commissioners: Regularly scheduled work session cancelled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025 due to inclement weather. All non-emergency Granville County facilities will open at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9th. Any questions should be directed to Karen Evans, Clerk to the Board, at 919-603-1307 or emailed to karen.evans@granvillecounty.org

Victory Christian School: Closed Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025.

Warren County Schools: Closed for all students on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.  Staff will operate on an optional remote workday.

Granville County Public Schools: Closed for students. All evening activities for Tuesday are also cancelled. Staff will operate on an optional remote workday.

Henderson Family YMCA: Closed in the morning. Opening at 12 Noon Tuesday.  Morning programs and activities canceled.

Delays/Closings 12-5-25

Vance-Granville Community College – All VGCC campuses will open at 10 a.m. for students and employees on Friday, 12-5-25.

Henderson City Hall – Due to the threat of severe weather in the early morning hours, City Hall will be closed 12-5-25.

Maria Parham Health – All Practices and Outpatient Services will operate on a delayed schedule 12-5-25, opening at 10 a.m.

Vance County Government – For the safety of employees, Govt. will open 12-5-25 at 10:30 a.m.

Vance County Clerk of Court – Office will open at 10:30 a.m. on 12-5-25.  There is only one session of District Court, and that will begin at 11:00.

Vance County Schools – Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay 12-5-25. VCS will continue to monitor conditions closely and will notify families by 7 AM if any changes are needed.

Victory Christian School – Will operate on a 2-hour delay 12-5-25.  This is subject to change should weather conditions change.

Lighting of the Greens and the Oxford Christmas Parade – Originally Friday, 12-5-25, now POSTPONED

Warren County Schools – Warren County Schools has moved from a two-hour delay to a remote learning day for students and staff.

Granville County Public Schools – Granville County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on 12-5-25. GCPS will continue to monitor conditions and will notify families by 7 AM of any other changes.

Franklin County government offices – Franklin County offices will  operate on a two-hour delay and open at 10 a.m. on Friday, 12-5-25 due to inclement weather. Essential staff will report as department leadership advises.
