**City of Henderson: Offices will open at 10 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2025. Essential personnel from Fire, Police, and Public Works will maintain regular hours.

**Franklin County Government Offices: Will open at 10 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2025.

**Vance County Clerk of Court Office: Will open on a 2-hour delay Monday, January 13, 2025, and all courts, including small claims court, will begin at 11:00 a.m.

**Vance County Offices: Will operate on a 3.5-hour delay Monday, January 13, 2025 and will open at 12 noon.

**Vance County Schools: Will have a remote learning day for all students on Monday, January 13, 2025. Students should log in to their Google Classroom or Canvas Classes to complete their assignments. If students have questions, they can contact their teachers by email.

**Vance-Granville Community College: Day classes canceled for Monday, January 13, 2025. Evening classes will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Check website for more information – vgcc.edu.

**Victory Christian School: Closed Monday, January 13.

WIZS LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

COURT –

  • The Vance County Clerk of Superior Court, Henry Gupton, says “the courthouse and clerk’s office will open Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock.  Magistrate court will start at 10:30 a.m. and superior court will resume at 11 a.m.”

SCHOOL –

  • Vance County Schools – asynchronous remote learning day January 4 for all students and school-based instructional staff. All other staff will operate with an optional workday with buildings opening at 10 a.m.
  • Crossroads Christian School – 2 hour delay January 4

GOVERNMENT –

  • Vance County Board of Commissioners’ meeting – rescheduled for Monday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m.

MORE –

  • Henderson-Vance Recreation & Parks basketball practices scheduled for Monday, January 3rd – cancelled

Closings/Delays for 3-13-18

  • Granville County Schools staff have been out checking the status of roads this morning, and unfortunately, there are too many side roads and back streets that are still covered in sheets and patches of ice and slush, especially in the northern part of the county. These areas are simply too risky for our buses to navigate this morning. Therefore, Granville Counyt Public School is cancelled for all students today, Tuesday, March 13. We will have an optional workday for staff with a delayed opening. Staff members should check their email for additional instructions. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope everyone has a safe day.

 

  • Vance County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for all students and staff 3-13-18
  • Vance-Granville Community College (all campuses) will open at 10 a.m. 3-13-18
  • Victory Christian School and Daycare will operate on a two hour delay 3-13-18
