Cooperative Extension with Micah Sharpe: 4-H Events Coming Up

Earth Day is Approaching! On April 22nd at 4pm, we will be celebrating Earth Day at the Perry Memorial Library. Come out and join us as we honor the planet and discuss ways we all can contribute to a greener more sustainable future!

Our Summer Camps are still in the works. Micah Sharpe will be posting further details by the Spring.

District Activity Day is coming up soon. This is a chance for students to showcase their presentation skills. Sign-ups will be opening up very soon!

The Vance County Game of Drones Team is looking more promising than ever! They have strong hopes in taking first place at the upcoming competition this month in April! Best of luck to our team!

Cooperative Extension with Micah Sharpe: 4-H Events Happening in the Spring

On Vance County Cooperative Extension with Micah Sharpe:

The Dinah Gore 4-H Healthy Food Challenge is happening in March. Vance County will take on other teams from other counties in the State. This is a perfect opportunity for kids to showcase their culinary skills.

There will be a Game of Drones Competition in April! Kids have been working on their drones using block code.

Family STEM Night will happen on March 20th at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market from 6pm-8pm. It’s going to be an interactive hands-on evening full of STEM activities for the whole family.

Calling All Teachers! The 4-H Science Embryology Program sign-ups are now open. It’s an opportunity for your students to learn about the life-cycle of chicks. Spot are limited.

Four County 4-H Poultry Show & Sale Interest Meeting – Feb. 27

2019 FOUR COUNTY 4-H POULTRY SHOW AND SALE INTEREST MEETING

Wednesday, February 27, 2019 | 6:30 p.m.

Vance County Regional Farmers Market

210 South Park Drive, Henderson, NC 27536

All children ages 5-18 are invited to join us on February 27 at the Vance County Regional Farmer’s Market to discuss plans for the 2019 Four County 4-H Poultry Show and Sale.

Whether this would be your first time participating or you have participated for many years, you won’t want to miss this meeting. We will be selecting the two breeds of chicken to raise this year, so if you would like to share your input, please plan on attending.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but are interested in participating in the show and sale, please call our office and let us know so that we can get the information out to you.
