At approximately 8:15PM, June 16, 2026, through the use of the U.S. Marshals and the assistance of the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, investigators of the Henderson Police Department were able to apprehend Rodriekgus Johnson, 21, at a residence on Foxfire Drive (Vance County), in the homicide of Willie Satterfield.
Johnson is the second of two individuals charged in this case, that occurred on May 9, 2026. Johnson was already an absconder from NC Department of Adult Corrections for a prior probation violation.
Johnson was charged with First Degree Murder in this case, along with two counts of Firearm by Felon and AWDWIKISI. Johnson also had outstanding warrants for two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Second Degree Kidnapping out of Oxford, NC.
Johnson received no bond for his charges and was remanded to the Vance County Detention Center pending future court proceedings.
