Search Warrant Yields Drug Charges Against Suspect

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at 133 College Street in Henderson.  An investigation was initiated after receiving citizen’s complaints of drug activity in the area.  During the search, officers recovered 51 grams of crack cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana and a Glock handgun.

Barry Henderson, 43 of 133 College Street Henderson was charged with the following charges: two counts of trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, manufacturing cocaine, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling controlled substances, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Henderson was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a secured 80,000.00 bond.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on January 23, 2017.
