Registration Deadline for Adult Winter Basketball Extended!

Henderson-Vance Recreation & Parks Department announces the return of adult winter basketball for 2019. This league is designed for adults who enjoy the game of basketball. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights with game times depending on the number of teams that register.
The registration deadline has been extended to Friday, March 8, 2019! $420 entry fee per team.
Each team will be guaranteed at least eight regular season games. A double elimination tournament will follow the end of the regular season.

Registration for H-V Rec. & Parks Youth Baseball & Softball Begins Feb. 2

Henderson-Vance Recreation and Parks will hold registration for youth spring baseball and softball February 2 – March 9, 2019.
Baseball is open to ages 4 – 18; playing age is determined as of May 1, 2019.
Softball is open to ages 6 – 16; playing age is determined as of January 1, 2020.
Cost: Vance County Residents – $40; Non Residents – $60
Register at the Aycock Rec. Center during normal business hours.

Vipers move on in the South Granville Holiday Tournament
After defeating Middle Creek High in the 1st round of the South Granville Holiday Tournament, the Vance County Vipers face off against the reigning 4A East Champion, the Heritage Huskies, tonight in the semifinals kicking off at 7:30 PM at South Granville High School. If Vance County gets past the Huskies, they will move on into the Championship game tomorrow night against either the Chapel Hill Tigers or the Green Hope Falcons. If Vance County makes the Championship game, WIZS will be covering the ballgame with an 8:45 PM airtime and 9:00 PM tipoff.
