At approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 20, 2026, officers with the Henderson Police Department were dispatched to the McDonald’s on East Andrews Avenue in reference to a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers located Wyatt Cole Holbrook, 20, of Bunn, seated in a vehicle in the drive-thru lane, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left thigh.
Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that Holbrook was manipulating a firearm while in the drive-thru when the weapon discharged. Evidence was also located suggesting Holbrook had been consuming alcohol prior to the incident.
Holbrook was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
Appropriate criminal charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
