Back in 1954 the Atlantic Coast Conference was very different than it is today. In 1954, the ACC had 8 member institutions. Today it has 18. The following institutions that made up the ACC back then were:
- Clemson College
- Duke University
- University of Maryland
- University of North Carolina
- North Carolina State College
- University of South Carolina
- University of Virginia
- Wake Forest College
Scout Hughes and George Hoyle take a trip back in time to talk about the following players from Vance County, Granville County and the surrounding areas that played for these ACC Institutions back in the 1954 ACC Football Season.
