In order to ensure your public service announcement is advertised, WIZS has made a policy change. We will no longer accept hand written submissions. This change will ensure the on-air personalities will be able to read your announcement.

If your organization has an upcoming event, you may now submit your information on the form below, we ask that your submission be email at least 2 weeks prior to the event in order to serve you better. WIZS will be happy to post your event below and announce it on air.

In an effort to better serve our listeners, WIZS will start adding your Public Service Announcements to our site.


The Pastor’s Aide at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Kittrell will be having a musical program on Saturday April 19th at 5pm. All are invited to attend.


The Annual Kiwanis Azalea Sale is Saturday April 26th in front of Wendy’s on Dabney Drive from 7am until 4pm. You can shop early at the pre-sale on Friday after 3pm April 25th. 1 gallon and 3 gallon azaleas, knock out roses and various shrubs for sale. All proceeds go to the Kiwanis Club of Henderson and will help with many community projects.


Vaughan Baptist Church is having a Family Fun Day on May 3rd from 11am until 2pm. This free event is open to the Vaughan/Macon Community. The church is located at 192 Eaton Ferry Rd. in Macon NC.


The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program can help families prepare their 2013 tax return for FREE. IRS certified volunteers will help you get qualified credits such as earned income tax credit, child tax credit, child and dependant care credit, education credit and offering free e-filing and direct deposit. Bring your W2 and 1099 forms, photo ID, SS card, all info on deductions/credits and bank account info. Will be open Tues., Thurs. and Fri. from 3pm until 7pm. Appointments and walk-ins welcome. The all volunteer Vance-Granville Community Band is looking for new members. No auditions required. To join, email Carl Cantaluppi at The band meets to rehearse every Monday evening from 7pm – 9pm in the Civic Center on VGCC’s Main Campus near Henderson.


The Habitat for Humanity Restore is located in the Hilltop Villiage Shopping Center in the old Rose’s Building on Williamsboro St. in Oxford. Open 10am – 5pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. The meetings are held at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center at 1699 Weldons Mill Rd. in Henderson from 6pm – 8pm every Monday night. There is a $15 registration fee.

Family Story Time will be held at the Perry Memorial Library every Monday at 3pm.


Teens and Tweens Activities and Games will be held every Tuesday at Perry Memorial Library at 6:30pm.


For pet owners looking for a low cost solution to expensive spay/neuter surgeries, SNAP-NC can help. The vets with SNAP-NC are liscensed, accredited and specialize in spay/neuter surgeries. Cat spay and neuters are $70, dog spay and neuters are $100 under 60lbs or $125 for dogs over 60lbs. All surgeries include pain medication, rabies vaccines, distemper for dogs and distember/parvo vaccines for cats. P.A.L.S. subsidy program for low income residents is also available. The Vance County Animal Shelter is accepting any kind of bedding or cash donations to provide for the animals. You can drop off donations Monday-Thursday from 8am – 4:30pm and Friday and Saturday 8am – 12pm.
